A K-12 school in Scranton, PA is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services for students throughout the academic year. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in an educational setting, supporting childrens communication development across a variety of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers and parents
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals to meet evolving needs
- Provide consultative services to teachers and staff to support communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student records in accordance with school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA in speech-language pathology
- Experience working as an SLP in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children and adolescents
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and administrators
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
